Jonathan Silk is a Scottish drummer, composer ,and band leader now living and working in the Birmingham area. Silk started playing drums at school at the age of twelve, and quickly progressed into playing with the school jazz orchestra as well as playing percussion in the classical orchestra. Then one of his teachers offered him playing in local big bands around the Stirling and Falkirk area. Following this, Silk was accepted for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland, and has since played in the band and toured with them for nearly four years...
