I began my DJ career at 18 years of age in 1994 as part of Buxton's MAD sound system, playing at parties and raves all over the Peak District - at venues and local spots like the legendary bunker raves and quarry parties. I also got to play at Club Kinetic's house room alongside Mark "Daba" Davis (who was resident there) and Stu Allan to name but a few. Mark was an inspiration to me, a true pro and selector. Don't tell him that though.
In the late 1990's, I appeared at venues around Manchester, like Sankey's, Home, and also The Boardwalk, alongside DJ's like Hacienda legends Dave Haslam and Herbie Saccani. I also played in Leeds at the original Hard Times venue.
After Hard Times' closure, I was invited to join the team at a new club, The Atrium. Where along side DJ's such as Dr Bob Jones, Steve Wilkinson, Paul Woolford and Rob Bright, we also hosted live bands like the New Mastersounds and Collene Baily Rae.
As well as the DJ'ing, I was lucky enough to work at Playmusic with some of Leeds' finest DJ's. Eventually, Hard Times started up again, and I was back with them as a resident for 6 years at The Space, and the rest is history
I also played up and down the UK at various venues and also abroad from time to time
Dj'ing obviously took a back seat when my Son was born, but I still played once a month at 212 and the Doghouse, and now you'll find me at a monthly residency at Belgrave - all in the City of Leeds
I'm still playing the more soulful side of house and still searching for rare vinyl, house. disco and soul classics
