Born in the Czech Republic in 1981, Jakub Hrů¨a is Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Prague Philharmonia, Music Director of Glyndebourne on Tour, and Principal Guest Conductor of Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. Previously he was Principal Conductor of the Prague Philharmonia (2005-8), Music Director of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic (2005-8), Associate Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic (2002-5), and Young Associate Conductor with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France (2005-6).
