American metalcore band from Denton, Texas, formed in 2020 as Sw!tch. They then changed their name to Sinema, followed a more pop-oriented screamo style and released an album, an EP and a split EP. Finally renamed as I Promised The World in 2025 as other acts were also performing under the name "Sinema" and leaned more heavily into their metalcore instincts. They have been described variously as emo, metalcore, post-hardcore, melodic metalcore and pop screamo.
