Late summer 2012 saw the creation of "Headsticks", and November the same year saw their first performance as a full on, hard hitting four piece band who immediately grabbed the attention of those assembled. From the ashes of much loved Cheshire Celtic Folk Punks "Tower Struck Down" , Staffordshire's "The Clay Faces" and "Jugopunch" came a band more than capable of delivering passion infused performances; anthemic choruses, barbed lyrics, and infectious melodies soon became the norm as the band began to gig prolifically across the Midlands and North West.
Support slots with such diverse acts as much admired acoustic punk legend TV Smith, post punk genius Kirk Brandon, Spear of Destiny, and much in demand folk rockers Merry Hell have been the order of the day of late, along with festival slots a plenty and numerous headline gigs of their own......Headsticks have a determination to deliver a thought inspiring show on every occasion, and seem to be achieving this! Shows have been well received not only by a wide cross section of people within various musical genres, but also by festival organisers, promoters, and venues who have embraced not only their delivery, their hard work, their craft, but also their ability to immediately generate a feel good factor and initiate something that is much more than just another band performance.
