Groundswell – with Freshlyground founders, Zolani Mahola & Aron Halevi

Freshlyground founders, Zolani Mahola and Aron Halevi, are celebrating the 20th

anniversary of “Nomvula” - the album that established the band as a household

name in South Africa and launched them internationally, winning multiple awards

including an MTV Award for Best African Act.

Beyond opening the 2010 FIFA World Cup alongside Shakira performing the

official theme song “Waka Waka (it’s time for Africa)”, Zolani has also shared the

stage with some of the world’s greatest artists including Stevie Wonder, BB King,

Yo-yo Ma and Robbie Williams, to name but a few.

Performing live in the UK for the first time in many years, Zolani and Aron will be

sharing their musical journey and unique blend of sounds and songs up-close-

and-personal for a limited series of intimate shows this summer. Not to be missed
