My name is Giulio Beltramo and I am a singer-songwriter and I have recently released my debut album as an unsigned artist, Upside Down Inside Out (10 November 2017).

Music has been of vital importance throughout my life and this year after much development I decided to record an album. In locating a genre I was influenced to write my music based on indie, alternative, folk and acoustic music, however what I maintained in mind throughout the whole process was the necessity to capture reality and the truth behind my music. I say this because the album, is made up of 8 songs all written whilst I have been living in Cape Town, is all inspired by the events of my life, be it emotional, mental or physical. I wrote it as a diary or periodic piece of my life in this moment. The lyrics as well as the music hold equal importance in the construction of my narrative, which is subsequently portrayed through the 8 songs. Thus I have refrained from the overt use of digitally enhancing and altering attributes on the grounds of capturing a raw, essentialist and truthful collect of music, which aids it telling my narrative as well as providing the grounds in which listeners have the opportunity to locate their own response and relation to it.
