Biography

Manchester alternative pop lot, whose debut EP was recorded live at Abbey Road Studios, released in May 2012. The infectious second EP, 'Champagne of the People', followed in March 2013, gathering acclaim from bloggers and scensters. Duke and the Darlings launched their third EP, 'Irwellian', to a sell-out crowd...in a brewery.

The positive reviews of Irwellian led to slots supporting Fatherson and Mutineers.

“The record companies are missing out here. They should be banging the door down -they are just that good.”

ilovemanchester.com

"intelligent, well-read clever lyrics to go with the substantial hookage"

smirkingmirror.blogspot

"superb musicianship and superior songwriting permeates throughout"

surroundedby.co.uk

"pure indie grooves and the clever lyricism"

Bitter Sweet Symphonies

"high-energy indie with an old-fashioned charm that carries their guitar-led songs and leaves you with an infectious grin on your face."
