Drumdin is the oldest and largest community samba band in the North East. They are a fairly motley crew of drummers and percussionists, whose mission is to make quality music whilst having fun and are available to bring a piece of ‘Rio Carnival’ to any event. Over the years different leaders, teachers, and members have brought a variety of new tunes, original compositions, and adaptations of “traditional” samba scores. These range from thumping crowd-pleasers to more technically challenging pieces. Drumdin always try to play the best they can musically, to stretch themselves technically, perform enthusiastically, but most of all have great fun.
