Dee J Dave is London born 'n bred. He started as a youth listening to 80's hip hop, Big Daddy Kane, 2 Live Crew, Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five before moving onto the electronic scene with the likes of Mantronix, Newcleus, the Jonzun Crew, Twilight22 and Electric Kingdom.

Dee J Dave started performing in 1984 at local gigs before getting heavily involved in the acid house scene, where he excelled as a DJ gaining huge respect on the acid house circuit.

His big break came when he played a set at a club in Tenerife called NO 1's, rivalling with the best DJs the island had to offer. Dee J Dave tore it up in the reef playing at legendary raves, El Molino and the Cactus Park. Upon his return to the UK, he set up his own night called 'Slap n Tickle, which gathered a large following instantly, with people travelling from the north, east, south and west to listen to the legendary Dee J Dave and his arrangement of music and pioneering DJ style.

Dave started collaborating with Chrisy Stebbeds in 2018 and became a part of SESƧIONS family.

Dee J Dave also hosted the breakfast show as DJ & Presenter for Funky SX 103.7FM radio from 2020 -2021.

Dave has recently become the breakfast DJ & Presenter for Shine 979 DAB. Catch Dee J Dave every morning on Shine 879 from 06:00 - 10:pm Mon - Friday.
