French baritone David Serero has received international recognition from playing over 600 concerts worldwide. His TV appearances have been watched by 30 million viewers and radio performances heard by 18 million listeners. His eclectic live repertoire includes Opera, Broadway, World Music and Theatre and has seen him perform at the Opera Garnier Paris, L’Olympia, The Eiffel Tower, the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, with the Budapest Opera conducted by Placido Domingo and sold-out West End shows at the Dominion Theatre, London.
David has performed the title role and produced the world premiere of Duke Ellington’s only musical Beggar’s Holiday and in the musical You Are Not Alone with Jermaine Jackson, which was written, directed and produced by David. He and Jermaine have also recorded a unique version of the French classic Autumn Leaves.
Last December, David made his Broadway debut in New York, with his One Man Opera Show, and also performed for French President Mr Nicolas Sarkozy. This was followed by the release of his debut album All I Care About Is Love.
Born in Paris in 1981, David began his career in New-York and studied Jazz Piano at the Bill Evans Piano Academy before moving to St Petersburg (Russia) to study at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. He works with vocal coaches such as Janine Reiss (vocal coach of legendary Maria Callas) and Damien Lehman.
Besides his French native tongue, David speaks fluent English, Italian, Russian and Hebrew and sings in Italian, French, English, Russian, Spanish, German, Hebrew, Czech, Armenian, Yiddish and Ladino.
