Dan was raised in a small network of caves hidden in a hill side overlooking Penmachno, North Wales. Existing on a diet of wood sorrel and pine needles, he did not experience daylight until the age of 4, when, alone, he set out to explore the big world.
In 1987 Dan enjoyed a brief stint as a Buddhist monk, before continuing with his worldly wonderings. It was whilst travelling in darkest Peru that Dan was first introduced to music. Having been adopted by the Juanhwootw tribe he listened to old Beatles and Gram Parsons records recovered from a crashed cargo plane, itís rusty carcass worshipped by the Juanhwootw, believing it to be a type of ancient sky god.
