Introducing House Music artist 'Cassell' AKA Jamie Soutar. Born of Scottish heritage, his current home is a location known for it's rich musical history, the proud city of Manchester.

With the birth of niche 90's artists Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers, Cassells love for electronic music blossomed, further developing over a multitude of genres and landing him a regular attendee of London clubbing greats like Fabric nightclub. There he played witness to prestigious nights such as True Playaz, the legendary Fabric Live and Ram Records, a sure fire introduction into the intriguing world of dance music.

Cassells own musical journey began as a hobby, a passion that over time developed into an obsession for perfecting his craft. With his debut release on Underground Audio gaining featured status on Beatport, other releases have followed in similar suit. A career milestone was the release of 'The Martian EP' on Phonetic Recordings, both tracks on the release rocked dance floors across Europe and showcased at the likes of Studio 338, The Warehouse Project and Elrows 2016 ADE bash. Further releases have followed on imprints that include Elrow Music, Solardos Solä label, Monotonik Records and Hang On Music, with forthcoming releases scheduled for 2018 on La Pera Records.

A passion for uplifting grooves is definitely apparent when it comes to his own personal taste, a lover of soulful licks, with admiration for the emotive funkin' style that producers such as Henrik Schwarz have managed to encapsulate over the years. Cassells aim is to leave a similar and lasting imprint on the genre for generations to come.
