Luke started making beats and demos under the moniker Cass Why in 2024 on a half-broken laptop in his bedroom in South East London. Inspired by British counter-culture, Cass champions DIY sensibilities - duvets in wardrobes for vocal booths, a single Nike sock over the mic for a popshield. He writes, produces and mixes his own work.

He draws from an eclectic mix of influences and genres, merging into a unique cacophony of jangly guitars, scrapbook beats and kitchen sinkstorytelling.
