Biography

Camp Collective is the joint alias of Liversedge-based DJ / producer and Cheeky Tracks label manager General Bounce, and Preston DJ / producer Ruskul, best known for being one half of the now separated hard house duo RJ & Ruskul.

In 2013 General Bounce & Ruskul teamed up to produce a hard house take on the popular U2 & Whitney Houston-sampling house track "Clouds Above" by the Mash Up Kids. Produced under the joint alias "Camp Collective", the track was intended to be a bit of fun that they produced as a one off, however its unexpected popularity with both clubbers and DJs in the scene led to them continuing the project. They have released 4 Camp Collective singles to date, which have earned them huge support across the scene from Andy Farley, Ben Stevens, Andy Whitby, Paul Maddox, Joe Longbottom, JoJo and many more.

Their fourth Camp Collective release "Hurt Me No More" became their biggest seller and most supported release to date in 2016, and inspired them to play occasional DJ sets together under the Camp Collective name. Their fifth track, a remix of DJ Saber's "Please Don't...!" on Cheeky Tracks, is due out in summer 2017.
