Biography

London trio Belly Squadhave dominated the UK urban scene with a string of wildfire, pace-setting releases, and this new anthem shows the versatility that is winning them plaudits from all corners.

The trio take influence from Africa, the Caribbean and the ends, and as torchbearers for the sound of now they incorporate elements of afrobeats, grime, rap, R&B, bashment and dancehall into their unique sound, defying pigeonholes and defining the parameters of the most exciting new movement in British music. Since the release of their debut EP, Banana, they have been busy lighting up stages across Europe – Lovebox, M.I.A.’s Meltdown, three Boiler Rooms, Germany’s Hype Festival, and most recently at Red Bull’s Carnival sound system – sharing stages with Migos, Wizkid, Stefflon Don, 67, and many more along the way. Elsewhere they have been collaborating with Donae’o, J Hus beatmaker Jae 5, Abra Cadabra, Young T & Bugsey, and Raye to name a few. All the while their breakout song ‘Banana’ has continued to grow and grow.
