Abi started her career in 1996 as a resident at a weekly night 'DO ME A FAVOUR' in London's West End playing a mix of soul, jazz funk, boogie and rare groove. This led to her own weekly nights at The Vibe

Bar (Brick Lane) and Tongue and Groove (Brixton) as well as twice weekly gigs at The Cafe de Paris (VIP

rooms) and The Met Bar. She has played as a guest DJ at numerous UK clubs including Balance with Gilles

Peterson, Mind Fluid with Kevin Beadle, WarBox with Ashley Beedle, Destination Out with Ross Allen, 45

and Beyond with Dr Bob Jones, FAITH Mansion House party and It's So with Ronnie Herel to name but a

few.

Festival work includes The Montreux Jazz Festival, Womad, The Urban Games, Colores Tenerife and The

World Snowboarding Championships. In 1999 she started working for SOUL JAZZ records in their Soho based store SOUNDS OF THE UNIVERSE and soon became part of the SOUL JAZZ SOUND SYSTEM

playing reggae, funk and soul in London, around the UK and Worldwide regular trips were made to Australia,New Zealand, Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden,Greece,Scotland, Ireland and Montenegro.

More recently she has played at The Southport Weekender 2011, Hayling Island Spring Soul and Reggae

Weekender 2016, 2017, Margate Soul Festival 2015 and 2016 on the MiSoul - Revenge of the Soul Boy Stage. Previous radio shows include a bi weekly slot on The Soul of London Radio and a weekly slot ‘West End Girls’ on Soho Radio. She currently has a monthly show with Bob Masters, who she met in 2013 called ‘Open Your Mind’ on Mi Soul radio. Abi has also DJ'd at Bob's Soul Boy events including The Ibiza Soul Week, The SouthCoast Soul Jam, Doin’It In The Park, Summer Madness and New Years Eve Shindig.

Currently she has her own monthly night ‘Body Fusion’at Two Floors, Kingly Street, Soho. Abi continues to co-host a monthly show on Mi Soul with Bob Masters and you can hear their ‘Open Your Mind’ sessions

on the third Wednesday of each month from 7pm until 9pm. A selection of all things soulful, both old

favourites and new gems. Her tastes are eclectic but she remain a Soul Girl at heart.

In 2018, Abi joined forces with Wendy May and Jo Wallace and together they formed the Lively Birds DJ Crew.
