A Sanctuary of Contrasts

Symphonic Metal Echoes began as a festival dedicated to symphonic metal. Yet after the first edition, as we started shaping the following year's line-up, it became clear that the experience we envisioned required a broader sonic palette than the strict boundaries of the genre alone could offer. This realization led us to expand the musical horizons of the festival.

Subgenres such as melodic death, doom, atmospheric, or black metal bring with them tensions, nuances, and depths that enrich what we now call the symphonic experience of the festival. Ignoring them would have meant preserving the form of symphonic metal while losing something essential: the spirit created by the unexpected encounters within the vast universe of metal and its many subgenres.

This openness is not a compromise but a curatorial choice. Metal becomes truly symphonic when it embraces diversity, dialogue, and the meeting of opposites-when beauty emerges at the intersection of strength and fragility, of drama and contemplation, of classical and modern, or even of the sacred and the profane.

Symphonic Metal Echoes is therefore no longer simply about a genre. It is a space shaped by a coherent aesthetic vision that transcends stylistic categories. Artists are invited not merely because of their genre affiliation, but for the expressive depth of their music-their ability to take us beyond the ordinary, to open paths toward new horizons, and to reveal fleeting glimpses of the absolute.

Each concert becomes part of a broader narrative, and every artist contributes to a larger orchestration that reinterprets, year after year, the living score of Symphonic Metal Echoes.

Here, symphonic metal is not treated as an isolated genre, but as a point of convergence-a meeting place between metal, classical influences, ambient textures, and darker musical traditions.
