York Dungeon Standard Admission at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York's darker history with live actors, immersive sets and special effects. The experience brings to life stories from the city's past, including the Vikings and their Saxon enemies.

You will also encounter some of York's most notorious historical characters, including Guy Fawkes and the local witch Isabella Billington. Scenes from the Black Plague and the fearsome torture chamber are part of the journey through the city's murky past.

The attraction is presented as a live history experience that aims to engage sight, sound and smell as you move through the story of York's ‘orrible history.
