About
Death or Glory are a young tribute to the only band that mattered – The Clash.
Formed on International Clash Day in 2023 by Tom Mannion, Death or Glory was created with the aim of creating a tribute to The Clash that is as like-for-like as possible. He was soon joined by Sam Smith, a Joe Strummer tribute act with an eye for detail and love for The Clash that matched that of Mannion. With the addition of Jack Newton’s razor sharp drums, the multi-faceted abilities of Matt Baron (Keys, Guitars, Harmonica, Percussion) and finally Darren McDowell on guitar and vocals, the band had all the ingredients they needed to recreate the studio sound of The Clash in the live arena.
