🎙️ RICHARD BLACKWOOD

Stand-up comic, Broadcaster, Actor, Presenter, Inspirational leader Richard Blackwood has been making audiences laugh, think, and feel for more than three decades. A natural entertainer from an early age, he first stepped onto the stand-up stage in 1993 at The Spot in Covent Garden, quickly becoming one of the UK's most recognisable comedy voices. His sharp wit and engaging style saw him tour nationally alongside Geoff Schumann before making the leap to television.

Early TV appearances on The Real McCoy and Blouse and Skirt led to his big break on MTV, co-hosting the flagship show MTV Select with June Sarpong. By 1999, Richard had his own Channel 4 primetime vehicle, The Richard Blackwood Show, blending comedy, celebrity interviews, and live music.

Never one to be confined to a single lane, Richard also pursued music, releasing his debut album You'll Love To Hate This in 2000. Its lead single, Mama (Who Da Man), hit No.3 in the UK charts, cementing him as a crossover talent critics dubbed "South London's answer to Will Smith."

Over the following years Richard built an impressive CV across broadcasting and theatre. He became a household voice on Choice FM (now Capital XTRA), hosted RB's Sunday School, the station's top-rated Sunday show and launched RB Real Talk, a live seminar series tackling community issues and inspiring young people. On stage, he starred in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (West End, 2009) alongside James Earl Jones, and played Donkey in Shrek: The Musical (2011-2013), a role that pushed him into singing and musical theatre at the highest level.

Richard's screen career flourished with a major role in EastEnders (2015-2018) as Vincent Hubbard, and since 2020 he has starred in Hollyoaks as Felix Westwood. Beyond acting, he has used his platform for social good, memorably undergoing a live prostate cancer examination on ITV's This Morning, helping break stigma and raise awareness for men's health. In 2024, Richard celebrated 30 years in stand-up with a sold-out nationwide UK tour, reaffirming his status as one of Britain's most versatile and enduring entertainers. Whether on stage, screen, or radio, Richard Blackwood continues to prove that versatility, longevity, and authenticity are the hallmarks of a true entertainer.

🎙️ KOJO ANIM

Kojo Anim has fast become one of the funniest talents to come out of the UK comedy circuit in the last 10 years. With his infectious charm, quick wit, and relatable humour, he has established himself as one of the leading figures in the UK comedy scene.

Kojo is here to make the world laugh, sharing his funny observations and stories about life, parenthood and family. While his first love was always football, he started using his humour to make people laugh in his local team.

Widely regarded to be one of the funniest UK comedians of the 21st century, Kojo's passion for comedy started as a young age. From growing up in the foster care system to opening for Dave Chappelle at the Royal Albert Hall and Kevin Hart at Wembley Arena, he has risen through the comedy ranks over the last decade - Kevin even called Kojo "one of the funniest comedians that America doesn't know about yet". His comedy topics include everything from catching taxis to fatherhood, the subject of his new show, a testament to Kojo's versatile talent. Such adaptability makes Kojo the perfect entertainer for events of all shapes and sizes.

His career includes features in The Mighty Truck of Stuff with Reggie Yates and Wild N Out, as well as regular appearances on the Black comedy circuit. He has even hosted his own show, Kojo's Comedy Funhouse, and appeared as a panellist on BBC Three's Free Speech. Arguably, Kojo found mainstream fame following his Britain's Got Talent audition. Following a career as a support act, he embraced the stage as a headline performer and blew the judges away, resulting in a gold buzzer from the infamous Simon Cowell. His BGT performance has received millions of views on YouTube, with viewers eager to relive Kojo's journey to the final.

🎙️ RUDI LICKWOOD

Rudi Lickwood a real legend in the comedy world exploded onto the stand up comedy circuit with some of the sharpest one-liners in the business. Although he started as an Eddie Murphy impersonator, he has since become a stand up comedian with a highly successful and long established career.

His stand up accomplishments include being in the 'Black 100+' awards for the greatest Black British Achievers and picking up a Black Entertainment Comedy Award for outstanding contribution to comedy.

Rudi performs at all the major comedy clubs across the UK and has performed at the Glastonbury and Reading festivals. His TV appearances include The Stand Up Show (ITV), Show me the Funny (ITV), Comic Relief (BBC One), Funny Business (BBC Two) and The Real McCoy (BBC Two).

🎙️ MR CEE (your host)

Cool, Charming & Conscious, Mr Cee is the 'Urbane Comedian' & one to watch out for on this 'Circus of Fun'.

Equally skilled at Hosting or Stand-Up, Mr Cee has performed at venues such as The Hackney Empire, The Comedy Store, Glee & Jongleurs Comedy Clubs. He has also supported Comedy Giants Kevin Hart, Dick Gregory, Paul Mooney, UK Legends Felix Dexter, Gina Yashere, Curtis Walker, Angie LeMar & African Legends AY, Basketmouth, Okey Bakassi & Clint Da Drunk on their UK tours. Also he has hosted/performed at Concerts with Busta Rhymes, Redman, Method Man, Corrine Bailey-Rae, SWV, Jon B, Janet Kay, Carol Thompson to name a few.

His comedy achievements ranges from doing 'warm ups' most recently for CH4's Award Winning 'The Big Narstie Show', the BBC1 show 'Blouse & Skirt' & also winning the 'Best Male Newcomer' at the Prestigious Black Entertainment Comedy Awards in 2000.

Being one of the founding 'Leaders Of The Nu Skool' a collective of progressive & ground breaking comedians, Mr Cee has been for over 17 years, consistently nurturing countless comedians on their journey into stand up comedy & elevating the standards & shows. Mr Cee is also a D&AD Black Pencil Award Winning Mentor, at the world renowned School Of Communication Arts 2.0.

🎙️ ANNETTE FAGON

Annette Fagon is a British stand-up comedian and TV artist. Currently talking loudly and having a good old-fashioned moan - as a backup for the therapy that is no longer affordable or available to her, Annette never fails to wow the audience with her brutal honesty and funny truths.

Growing up as that rare thing in the midlands of the 1980s, the daughter of a Jamaican newsagent mother, has clearly left its mark.

Despite years of child drama classes and theatre performances, Annette frustrated her mother by spending 6 years at university, leaving without a degree, and returning to work there for a further 2 years.

After a variety of odd jobs - disability support worker, theatre house manager, comedy club waitress - Annette took up an odder job, in stand-up comedy & her performances are now proven having shared the stage with some of the best showing off her very unique skills with engaging the crowd and story telling as she appears in clubs, theatres and festivals worldwide.

🎙️ DARIUS DAVIES

Darius is a seasoned performer first cutting his teeth in 2007 in the comedy clubs of New York city. Success quickly followed as Darius won an MTV New Talent contest, opening the door for Darius to strut his stuff on MTV America. Alas due to "visa irregularities" Darius soon found himself back, and uncelebrated in London.

Certain that success would be just as swift, Darius launched himself on the UK comedy scene. In the blink of an eye (four and half years later) Darius found himself gigging regularly up and down the country entertaining the crowds with his high-energy, captivating, and hilarious tales.

ROCABALL DJ

Born & raised in West London, he is a multi-talented DJ, Host, Designer & Entertainer. Representing Roc Ure World Entertainment he will be providing the soundscape for the main comedy event and then providing the soundtrack to get you all on the dance floor and party the night away once the comedy show is over into the early hours of Sunday morning!

Rocaball has been DJ'ing since the late 90's to early 2000 & is a a multi genre DJ, who plays decades of music from the 60's to present day. His favourite being the 90's / 00 era whether it being Hip Hop, R&B, Bashment and Jungle - that time was the best time for music for him and is presently loving Amapiano which he has a very big catalogue of.

From time to time Rocaball also makes comedy sketches, which is available on his socials and via @FatLadySingsComedy page. Writing and performing comedy is something he loves and very passionate about, hopefully one day he is hoping to make it back on the big screens but we're trying to get him on a Comedy Fête stage performing with us before hand.
