UNMUTED is more than a networking event, it is a student-led charity fundraiser dedicated to creating meaningful change within the gaming and esports community. Hosted by Esports Management students from Sheffield Hallam University, this event brings together students, industry professionals, and creatives to champion inclusivity while raising vital funds for charity.
The evening (19:00–22:00) will feature inspiring guest speakers who will share their personal journeys, highlight the barriers women continue to face in gaming, and explore how the industry can move forward more equitably. Including charity representatives sharing their missions dedicated to the cause and their achievements thus far. A live Q&A session will offer attendees the opportunity to engage directly, ask questions, and gain practical insight.
Alongside the speaker programme, attendees will take part in a collaborative canvas painting activity based on a shared creative prompt. This interactive networking experience is designed to foster open conversation in a welcoming environment, while symbolising the collective strength and creativity of the community. The finished artwork will stand as a visual representation of solidarity and shared purpose.
Every ticket purchased contributes directly to our chosen charity, supporting initiatives that align with our mission of empowerment, representation, and opportunity. As students working within a limited budget, we are committed to ensuring that as much of the proceeds as possible go toward making a tangible difference.
By attending UNMUTED, you are not only gaining access to valuable industry insight and networking opportunities, you are actively supporting a cause that seeks to create safer, more inclusive spaces within gaming and beyond.
