Gather your pack and become your inner spirit animals for one night only. Wear your stripes, fur, tails, claws, horns, whatever your spirit animal may have and get ready to be fierce and go WILD at the ROAR 🐼🌿

ROAR like you mean it at the the most talked about Wednesday night party in Sheffield. With the best club music, impeccable vibes and the beloved Roary MacTaverstock - our legendary Uni of Sheff Tiger mascot! 

ROAR is your iconic sing-a-long, hands in the air student party, mixing current and cool with classic student anthems. 


ROOM 1 - CLUB, CHART, GUILTY PLEASURES & STUDENT ANTHEMS
Our legendary resident DJ of 10 years, Jimmy The Gent expertise knows how to get the dance floor moving. 

Expect top 40 chart bangers, student anthems, guilty pleasures, rave tracks, iconic indie, pop perfection and all the things you’d wanna hear on your wild Wednesday at ROAR. Get your requests in via the stairs to the left of the stage. 

ROOM 2 - TOTAL REQUESTS
Our backroom resident DJs will be taking your requests all night long and bringing the party vibe, with the iconic room 2 anthems that will get you wanting to sit down. Find the request table & give your suggestions to the DJ. 

Don’t be sad if they don’t play your request, trust our DJs - your song might just be a complete dancefloor vibe disaster x

ROOM 3 - CHILLOUT SPACE, PHOTOBOOTH & GENDER NEUTRAL FACILITIES
Take a break, grab a pic & watch out for our theme takeovers in the back room.

Foundry’s Gender neutral toilets are situated in room 3 beside the bar.

ROARY MCTAVERSTOCK

Roary, our big friendly tiger is the Official Sheff Uni Mascot and the main man of ROAR. He reps the black & gold family and brings the wildest wednesday parties to get the full uni crew together. 

Roary joins us every Wednesday for photos in the Plaza, before you get in the queue! Don’t miss him for your weekly wild wednesday photo memory.

Every student can bring up to 2 non-student guests with them each week!The guest must purchase a ticket and bring valid ID.

~ Drink responsibly
Look out for your friends, pace yourself & take breaks as you need. 

~ ID scanning is a condition of entry at the Foundry
You will need this to gain entry, regardless of your age

~ Get Home Safe
Take the Safety Bus home for Free. Speak to security on exit and they can direct you to wait for the bus. Shared ride home in the SU’s electric powered Safety Bus, driven by one of the security team, within 2 miles of the SU

Veezu Safe Rides (0114 239 3939)Can’t afford a ride home? Hand over your u-card to a Veezu driver who’s take you home. The next day go to the SU Welcome Desk to pay the fare and collect your u-card.

~ Talk to our SU Welfare Team 
Need to talk to someone? Ask for the Welfare team for peer to peer support on your night out.

~ Take Time Out
Take breaks and pace yourself. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, ask for the quiet room.

~ Gender Neutral Facilities
We have gender neutral toilets facilities available at all events in Fusion, or ask security for access. 

~ Need something? Ask at the bar or cloakroom for free:
- Water
- Ear plugs
- Phone Charging (at the Cloakroom)
- Face Wipes

~ Free Spikeys & Drinks Toppers 
Keep your drinks safe. Ask at the bar for your your protection.
Suspicious of your drink? Speak to a member of staff for advise.

~ Feeling Unsafe?
Ask our staff for ‘Angela’ and they’ll provide discrete support

~ Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment, Discrimenation & Violence
If you something happens on a night out, report it to a member of security.

Our specially trained team will take your disclosure seriously - you will be listened to, believed and supported throughout the whole process and the reported person will be removed from the venue. Incidents can still be reported after the event.

~ Zero Tolerance to Drugs
The Students’ Union has a zero-tolerance policy toward drug use at its licensed venues. Searches will be in operation, as well as sniffer dogs for some events.
If you decline a search upon arrival, you will not be allowed in the venue that night.

Students found in possession of illegal substances will be banned for a minimum of 6 weeks and can face a lifetime ban. Non-Students found in possession of illegal substances will receive a lifetime ban from all licensed premises at Sheffield Students' Union.
