Carson McHone
Carson will be coming to Sheffield as part of her UK tour and fresh from End of the Road Festival. In her most recent work, especially Still Life and 2025’s Pentimento, Carson McHone has moved far beyond the boundaries of traditional alt-country into a more expansive, literary folk-rock sound. While her earlier music leaned on Texas honky-tonk and Americana, her newer records blend pastoral folk, chamber pop, psychedelia, poetry, spoken word, and experimental arrangements into something atmospheric and deeply personal. Critics describe Pentimento as “a dense, multi-faceted tapestry” built from “poetry, spoken verse, field recordings, pastoral folk, guitar and chamber pop.”
Her recent music often feels cinematic and drawing comparisons to artists like Fairport Convention, Fiona Apple and Kate Bush. Reviewers note that she now “charts her own course,” creating songs that mix “the dreamy and the visceral with masterful ease.” We can’t wait to see her play at Delicious Clam!
Support from local slag-heap rockers Sister Wives and Liverpool’s Requiem Blues.
