Calamity with The Undead Cat and Sleep Suppressor

Flute player Delphine Joussein (Nout, Kit Downs duo, Trunk, Flojter, Kabarila, Boolvar, Sauvages Paradis, Brut Sextet) brings her solo project Calamity to Cafe Etch in Middlesbrough.

Growing up in a musical family, Delphine Joussein began playing the flute at the age of nine. In 2002, she graduated with a unanimous first-class diploma in flute performance, receiving the jury's highest honors. Heavily influenced by the extended family of jazz and rock, she has developed a flute style where voice and electronics are ever-present.

Leeds based electronic Folk musician The Undead Cat explores the delicate overlap between experimental electronics and folk music; Mangling sounds of nature to weave atmospheric songs conveyed through their cathartic and vulnerable songwriting.
