In 1989, British youth culture underwent a massive cultural revolution defined by the explosive rise of acid house, underground rave scenes, and the drug Ecstasy.
Driven by deindustrialization and political unrest under Margaret Thatcher's government,
young people rebelled against social divisions and economic hardship with a movement that became known as the "Second Summer of Love".
