About

About To Kill a Mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird is Aaron Sorkin’s stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel, returning to the West End for a strictly limited summer season. Set in 1934 Alabama, it centres on lawyer Atticus Finch as he tries to guide his children with kindness and empathy while pursuing the truth in a town determined to hide it.

The production is based on one of the most widely read American novels of the 20th century. To Kill a Mockingbird has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide, won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature and was long listed among banned books.

Richard Coyle returns as Atticus Finch, reprising the role from the 2022 West End production. The play has already had successful seasons on Broadway and in the West End, and is currently playing to audiences across the UK and Ireland on a sell-out national tour.

Running time: approximately 2 hours 50 minutes including an interval. Accessibility performances: Audio Described 2pm Saturday 1 August 2026; Captioned 2pm Saturday 11 July 2026.
