About To Kill a Mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird is Aaron Sorkin's stage adaptation of Harper Lee's novel, returning to the West End for a strictly limited summer season. Set in 1934 Alabama, the play follows lawyer Atticus Finch as he encourages kindness and empathy in his children while trying to uncover the truth in a town determined to hide it.

The production has been a Broadway and West End success and is currently touring the UK and Ireland. Harper Lee's novel inspired the play and has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide; it won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature and was long at the top of the banned book lists.

Current cast

Richard Coyle returns as Atticus Finch, reprising the role he played to great critical acclaim in the 2022 West End production. He is not scheduled to perform between Monday 7 and Saturday 12 September.
