About To Kill a Mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird is Aaron Sorkin’s stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel, returning to the West End for a strictly limited summer season. Set in 1934 Alabama, it follows lawyer Atticus Finch as he tries to uncover the truth in a town determined to conceal it, while trying to teach his children kindness and empathy.

The production has been a Broadway and West End success and is currently playing to sell-out audiences across the UK and Ireland on a national tour. Harper Lee’s novel won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature, has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide, and spent a long time on banned book lists.

Running time: approximately 2 hours 50 minutes, including an interval.

Before you book

Please arrive early to clear security. Evening performances start promptly at 7pm, and matinees start at 2pm. An audio described performance is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday 1 August 2026.

Richard Coyle is scheduled to appear as Atticus Finch, but he is not due to perform between Monday 7 and Saturday 12 September.
