Hay Fever is Noël Coward’s comedy, directed by Emily Burns. It stars Emmy, two-time Tony, Screen Actors Guild and Drama Desk winner Christine Baranski in her West End debut as Judith Bliss, alongside Academy Award-nominated stage and screen actor Richard E. Grant.
The story follows Judith Bliss, who has retired from life on stage but misses the applause. At the family’s country home, David and their children Sorrel and Simon are too self-involved to give her the audience she wants, so Judith invites a young fan to stay for the weekend. When each member of the family brings a guest of their own, the house descends into parlour games, put-downs and unrequested encores.
