About Hamilton

Hamilton is at 79 Victoria Street, London. The show tells the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the America we know today.

The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, presenting “the story of America then, as told by America now”. Hamilton has book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. It is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, and is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.

Before you book

Hamilton contains some strong language and is appropriate for ages 10+. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticketholder who is at least 18 years old. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted.

Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break, and admittance cannot be guaranteed. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.

The performance on Wednesday 29 April 2026 is a Relaxed Performance for people with autism, learning disabilities, sensory and communication needs, or anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Adjustments will be made to sound and lighting, normal theatre rules such as being quiet and sitting still do not apply, and the performance will start at 6.30pm.
