About Hamilton

Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, America’s Founding Father and an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the United States. The show is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton combines hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway to present the story of America then, as told by America now.

It is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.

Before you book

Age guidance: suitable for ages 10+ due to some strong language. Children under 3 are not admitted. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticketholder who is at least 18 years old.

Late entry: latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break, and admittance into the performance cannot be guaranteed.
