About Oh, Mary!

Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre, London, is an 80-minute one-act dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton. It follows a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, with unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires at the centre of the story.

The show was declared “one of the best comedies in years” by The New York Times and received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play (Cole Escola) and Best Direction of a Play (Sam Pinkleton). For the London transfer, Mason Alexander Park is listed as starring as Mary Todd Lincoln, with Kate O’Donnell, Oliver Stockley, Dino Fetscher and Giles Terera also in the cast.

Running time: 1 hour 20 minutes, with no intermission.
