

Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre, London is an uproariously dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton. Set in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln's assassination, it follows a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln and explores unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires in an 80-minute one-act play.
The production received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play (Cole Escola) and Best Direction of a Play (Sam Pinkleton). The New York Times described it as “one of the best comedies in years”.
For the upcoming London transfer, Mason Alexander Park stars as Mary Todd Lincoln.
Running time: 1 hour 20 minutes, with no intermission.
Age guidance: Ages 14+. Children under 4 are not permitted.
Cast dates: The role of Mary Todd Lincoln will be played by Catherine Tate until 18 July, Cole Escola from 20 July to 15 August, and Jinkx Monsoon from 17 August to 26 September.
