Trainspotting - the musical at Haymarket, London is a new West End production written by Irvine Welsh, with music and lyrics by Stephen McGuinness and Irvine Welsh, and directed and developed by Caroline Jay Ranger.

Thirty years on from the film, the show brings back Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, Tommy and Kelly, alongside an ensemble cast and a live band. It features some of the tracks from the film that defined a generation, together with original songs.

The production is described as a new musical that combines familiar material with new writing, set for a 2-hour performance including a 20-minute interval.
