About Trainspotting - the musical

Trainspotting - the musical at Haymarket, London is a new musical based on the film that changed everything, thirty years on. Written by Irvine Welsh, with music and lyrics by Stephen McGuinness and Irvine Welsh, and directed and developed by Caroline Jay Ranger, it brings Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, Tommy and Kelly back to the stage with an ensemble cast and a live band.

The show features some of the tracks from the film, alongside original songs. It is presented as a story of outsiders and rebels, staged live across the West End.

Duration: 2 hours including a 20 minute interval.
