Trainspotting - the musical at Haymarket, London, brings Irvine Welsh’s story to the stage thirty years after the film that changed everything. Written by Irvine Welsh, with music and lyrics by Stephen McGuinness and Irvine Welsh, and directed and developed by Caroline Jay Ranger, it features Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, Tommy and Kelly, with an ensemble cast and a live band.

The show includes some of the tracks from the film alongside original songs. It is described as a new musical that blends familiar material with newly written numbers.

Set at Haymarket in London, the production presents a stage version of the cult story in a format designed for live performance.

Running time: 2 hours including a 20-minute interval.
