The Tiger Who Came To Tea at the Haymarket in London is a musical play adapted and directed by David Wood, based on Judith Kerr’s picture book. It returns to the West End for Summer 2026 as an Olivier Award-nominated stage adaptation of the classic story.
The story begins when Sophie and her mummy sit down to tea and the doorbell rings. What they do not expect is a big, stripy tiger at the door. The show follows the tea-guzzling tiger through a family tale packed with magic, sing-along songs and clumsy chaos.
It has also received four-star reviews from The Times, Mail on Sunday, Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph and Daily Express, together with a five-star review from Whatsonstage.com.
