About DEEP-HEAT RIVALRY
DEEP-HEAT RIVALRY at The Other Palace is a new parody set in the fast-moving world of professional ice hockey. It follows Shane Hollandaise and Ilya Stroganoff, two rival players whose on-ice clashes conceal a private relationship they are both struggling to confront.
Written and directed by Oliver-nominated Trevor Ashley, the show brings together locker-room drama, forbidden romance, parody songs and comedy. It is loosely inspired by a hit TV series and reframes the rivalry through a satirical, stage-based lens.
Expect a mix of power ballads, party-pop energy and broad comedy built around the tension between the two hockey stars. The production places the relationship at the centre of the story.
Running time: 1 hour 15 minutes.
