Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney's internationally celebrated musical, reimagined for the stage by director Julie Taymor.

Based on Disney's film, it tells Simba's story from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands, with colour, effects and music brought together in a stage production.

Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 3 are not permitted into the Lyceum Theatre, and The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Arrive early, as latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance. Arrival times vary by seating level: 45 minutes before start time for Grand Circle and standing positions, 60 minutes before start time for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before start time for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
