Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is an internationally celebrated musical. Reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, Disney’s film has been transformed into a stage production that tells Simba’s story, from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.
The show features glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music, bringing the story to the stage in a clear and theatrical form.
Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.
Recommended for ages 6+. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it with you at least 30 minutes before the performance. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
The venue opens 90 minutes before showtime. Arrival times vary by seating area: 45 minutes before for Grand Circle and standing positions; 60 minutes before for Stalls, Boxes E and K; and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the performance starts, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated.
Please switch off your phone completely once the show begins. Talking during the performance should be kept to a minimum, and snacks and drinks should be unwrapped before the show starts to reduce noise.
