About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney’s musical adaptation of the film, reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor. The story follows Simba, from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production brings together colours, effects and music in a stage version of the much-loved story. It is presented as an internationally celebrated musical with a large-scale theatrical style.

This is a long-running show that has been seen by many theatre-goers, making it a well-established choice for visitors looking for a major London musical experience.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performances: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Age guidance: recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted into the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Arrival and entry: the venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Arrive 45 minutes before start time for Grand Circle standing positions, 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the performance begins, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the show.

Tickets and access: you will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
