Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is the internationally celebrated musical adaptation of Disney's film. Reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, it brings Simba’s story to the stage as he journeys from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production combines colour, effects and music in a stage show built around a familiar story. It presents Disney’s film in theatrical form, with the movement, design and score shaped for the stage.

Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes including one interval. Performance times: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm; Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Age guidance: The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 years old are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All attendees, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Tickets and arrival: You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose collect at box office, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. The venue opens 90 minutes before start time, and guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Latecomers may need to wait before being seated, which could mean missing part of the performance.

Other booking information: No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. Please switch off your phone completely once the show begins.
