About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney's internationally celebrated musical. Brilliantly reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, it transforms Disney's beloved film into a stage production with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music.

At its heart is the powerful story of Simba, following his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

Key facts: The running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Age guidance: The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

On the day: The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Arrive early, as latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance. Arrival times vary by seating area: 45 minutes before for Grand Circle and standing positions; 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K; 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Your confirmation will be sent by email; if you have chosen box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day at least 30 minutes before the performance. E-tickets are sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
