Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney’s internationally celebrated musical, reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor. It brings Disney’s film to the stage in a production filled with colour, effects and music.

At its centre is Simba’s story, following his journey from cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. The show combines a familiar story with a large-scale theatrical presentation designed for the stage.

The Lion King runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval.

Before you book

The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email after purchase. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it with you on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before showtime. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the performance starts. Arrive early, as latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the show. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
