The Producers at the Garrick Theatre is the first major London revival of Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of The Producers. Following a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, it transfers to the West End this autumn. Based on the classic cult film, the original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards.
The show follows down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock and timid accountant Leo Bloom as they scheme to create the biggest flop in theatre history, only for events to backfire. The production opens on 15 September, with previews from 30 August.
Richard Kind’s final performance at the Garrick Theatre will be on 6 May 2026.
Key facts: Age guidance is 13+. The show includes scenes of a sexual nature, and references to Adolf Hitler and Nazis. Children aged 14 and below must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over and seated next to each other.
