About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience at the London Eye is a ride on the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel. On the South Bank of the River Thames, the 135-metre wheel offers 360-degree views across London and 40 kilometre panoramic views in all directions on a clear day.

The wheel has 32 high-tech glass capsules. From the ride, you can see landmarks including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Key facts: One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes.

Before you book

Admission: Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but still need a ticket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Entry: Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket and present it printed or on a mobile device for scanning before the start of your visit.

Accessibility and refunds: Disabled guests should buy a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival with proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, but only two wheelchairs are allowed per capsule and eight in total at any one time. Mobility scooters are not admitted. If you are visiting with a wheelchair, it is recommended that you book a timeslot in advance. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

The London Eye is within easy walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster Underground stations. Waterloo is the closest station, around five minutes’ walk following signs for the South Bank. Embankment and Charing Cross are around a 10 to 15 minute walk across Hungerford Bridge. From Westminster, use exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
