Love's Labours Lost 26 presents Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost in a flamenco-inspired summer production. Four women arrive in Navarre on a diplomatic mission, setting off a story in which the King and his lords find their vows tested by love, desire and wit.
Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins makes her Globe Theatre directing debut with the production. A former Globe Resident Artist and JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at the Orange Tree Theatre, she draws on her rural Spanish roots to shape the play’s rhythm, warmth and intensity.
Rarely staged, this is a comedy that places passion, power, poetry, joy and revelry alongside longing, grief and melancholy, with the central relationships left unresolved.
