Love's Labours Lost 26 is a summer staging of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost in a flamenco-inspired production. The story follows four women arriving in Navarre on a diplomatic mission, as the King and his lords are drawn into a world of love, desire and wit.
Directed in her Globe Theatre debut by Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins, the production reflects the warmth and vibrancy of her rural Spanish roots. It brings together rhythm, romantic tension, joy, revelry, longing, grief and melancholy.
Rarely staged, Love’s Labour’s Lost is presented here as a comedy about connection and the way love can remain unresolved.
Key facts: Shakespeare comedy; flamenco-inspired new production; Globe Theatre directing debut for Indiana Lown-Collins.
