Love's Labours Lost 26 is a flamenco-inspired new production of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost. Set in Navarre, it follows four women arriving on a diplomatic mission and the King and his lords as their vows are tested by love, desire and wit.
In her Globe Theatre directing debut, Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins brings the warmth and vibrancy of her rural Spanish roots to the production. Her credits include former Globe Resident Artist and JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at the Orange Tree Theatre.
Rarely staged, this comedy is presented as a work shaped by rhythm, fiery romantic tension, joy, revelry, longing, grief and melancholy, with a focus on connection and love left unresolved.
Key facts: Shakespeare comedy; flamenco-inspired production; directed by Indiana Lown-Collins in her Globe Theatre directing debut; rarely staged.
